i am a third generation Black chicagolander and a postdoctoral fellow at the university of chicago. i am also a research fellow with the american council of learned societies (acls) and scholar-in-residence at the newberry library.

We are a married couple who work across various mediums, including photography, music, geosonicology, acoustic ecologies, geomusicology, geography, ethnographic methods, and Black storytelling.
